These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CoupleForge website at coupleforge.com and any associated services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What the Service is
CoupleForge provides a free, ad-supported generator that takes first names, optional last names, a date, and vibe tags and returns blended couple names, wedding hashtags, cute nicknames, and anniversary date ideas. We also publish a blog (the “Journal”) and related static pages.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're in a jurisdiction with a higher minimum age for online-service consent, you must meet that threshold instead. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Your inputs and our outputs
- Your inputs. You retain any rights you have in the names and data you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and display your inputs as needed to operate the Service (including caching them so repeat identical inputs return instantly).
- Our outputs.The names, hashtags, nicknames, and date ideas returned by the generator are produced by a large language model (xAI's Grok) with automated fallbacks. These outputs are not guaranteed to be unique, original, or free of conflict with third-party trademarks, personal brands, or existing hashtags. You are responsible for reviewing any output before using it publicly, especially in contexts where originality or non-infringement matters (e.g. commercial use, printed signage, trademark applications).
- You may freely use generator outputs in your own wedding, social, or personal contexts. No attribution is required, though it's welcome.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate content that harasses, defames, or sexualizes real named individuals without their consent, or that targets minors.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise automatically access the Service beyond normal human browser usage; exceed the published rate limits; or attempt to disable or circumvent our rate-limiting or abuse-detection mechanisms.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying prompts, models, or data used to produce generations.
- Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure or the experience of other users.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this section, including blocking access to the Service.
5. Advertising
CoupleForge is ad-supported. Pages may display ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. These third parties may set cookies and use other technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not endorse the content of any advertisement shown on the Service.
6. Intellectual property
The CoupleForge name, logo, color palette, site design, written Journal content, and underlying code are owned by CoupleForge and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote short passages of the Journal with attribution (a link back is fine). You may not republish full Journal posts without written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of content. Generator outputs are produced algorithmically and by a third-party language model; CoupleForge does not warrant that any output is unique, fit for any specific use, or free from error. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability of the Service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CoupleForge and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) any content obtained from the Service; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content. Because CoupleForge is a free service, our aggregate liability to you will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CoupleForge harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
10. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; material changes will update the “Effective” date at the top. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction of the CoupleForge operator, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to bring any claim exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.
