Privacy Policy

CoupleForge (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the website at coupleforge.com and its subpages.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum we need to run the generator:

  • Generation inputs. The first names, optional last names, date, and vibe tags you submit to the generator. We store these alongside the generated output in a public cache so the same inputs return instantly on repeat requests.
  • IP address (short-term). We log your IP in a rate-limit table solely to prevent abuse of the free generator. The table stores only the IP, a window start time, and a request count. It is not tied to any generation record and rolls over every hour.
  • Request metadata. Standard web logs — timestamp, URL, status code, user-agent — retained by our hosting provider (Vercel) for operational and security purposes.
  • Contact messages. If you email us or submit the contact form, we receive your name, email, and message.

We do not ask for or store: birthdays, phone numbers, physical addresses, payment information, government IDs, or precise location data.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

CoupleForge uses a small set of cookies and local storage:

  • Essential.No login cookies — we don't have accounts.
  • Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand basic traffic patterns (page views, referrer, device class). Vercel Analytics is cookieless by default and does not identify individual visitors.
  • Advertising. Pages on this site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to personalize ads, measure ad performance, and limit how many times you see the same ad. See the Advertising section below.

3. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties to operate the site. Each receives only the data needed for its role:

  • xAI (Grok API).Your generation inputs (names, vibes) are sent to xAI's Grok API to produce the blended name, hashtags, nicknames, and date ideas. xAI processes this data per its own Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase. Our database host. Stores the generation cache, rate-limit counters, and call logs.
  • Vercel. Our hosting and analytics provider.
  • Google AdSense. Ad serving. See below for the specifics.

4. Advertising disclosures (Google AdSense)

CoupleForge participates in Google's AdSense program. The following disclosures apply:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

5. How we use your data

  • To generate and return results from the generator.
  • To cache generations so repeat inputs are served instantly.
  • To rate-limit abusive traffic.
  • To measure aggregate usage of the site.
  • To reply to your direct messages to us.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it to build profiles of you. We do not share it with parties other than the processors listed above.

6. Data retention

  • Generations. Stored indefinitely in the public cache. Because they contain only first names, optional last names, a date, and vibes, we consider them low-sensitivity.
  • Rate-limit records. Purged when the one-hour window ends and the row is re-used or pruned.
  • Contact messages. Retained in our email for as long as needed to respond to you.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or similar frameworks: to access, correct, delete, or export your data; to opt out of certain processing; and to complain to a regulator. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@coupleforge.com. Because we don't require accounts, deletion requests work best if you send us a recent generation's inputs so we can locate and remove the corresponding cache row.

8. Children

CoupleForge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us at hello@coupleforge.comand we'll remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the “Effective” date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
